Stallholder Application Key Dates

Stallholder applications close for Melton Christmas Market 2019 at midnight on 31st October 2019.

A non-refundable deposit of £30 will note your interest in attending but no bookings will be confirmed without full payment and receipt of the required paperwork.


All ‘reserved’ pitches will therefore remain available to others until bookings are confirmed. This is necessary to avoid loss of revenue from late withdrawals or no shows on the day.


Completion of the booking process is the responsibility of the applicant and in order to keep administration costs down, we will not be pursuing overdue paperwork or payments this year.


A single reminder will be sent at the end of September with all paperwork and payments due no later than October 31st to allow mapping to start earlier than we have been able to previously.

All payments must now be made using a BACS Payment System. Please do not send a cheque with your application form. Cash payment on the day is no longer possible.

What paper work do I need to send with my application?

All stallholders are required to send a copy of their Public Liability Certificate (which must be in date for the duration of the event), A full risk assessment (including fire risk assessment, where applicable). 

For all stallholders selling food, both cooking and non cooking to provide confirmation that your food business has been registered with your local authority, with a copy of your food hygiene rating certificate.

Any stallholders using any electrical equipment whilst at the event to provide copies of your PAT test certificates.

Any stallholders using any gas equipment whilst at the event to provide copies of your gas safety certificates.

Any stallholders selling Alcohol to provide a copy of their Alcohol selling licence.

Can I choose where I have my stall?

Successful applicants will be allocated a pitch on a first come, first-served basis on receipt of the booking deposit and the required documentation. 

We will do our very best to accommodate your requests/preferences for pitch allocation wherever possible and practical. Please state your requests clearly on the booking form.
